Fires 02:58
In the midnight hour when the moon is down you can find me howlin til my voice gives out when the bars are closing and you rub your eyes keep your fire burning you might need the light keep your fire burning In the morning silence watch the sun be born you can hear my jawbone click I'll ask you what your asking for can you tell the future? can you read my palms? are you cracking harder, farther distance you spurred me on keep your fire burning keep your fire burning keep your fire burning keep your fire burning

Claustrophobic like these hopes of mine watched the weight of the world rolling across your spine I lost focus fogged up acid brain watching purple suns set over desert plains Birds in motion they remind me so of every tourist trap of all our unpaid tolls Pray you notice that this well's run dry that my arm's asleep or else I'd dream of flying I miss it all I miss our youth I miss our greasy hair I miss our simple truths I miss it all Got pulled over in that old Accord this was before we drank before our whispered wars I miss it all I miss our youth I miss our greasy hair I miss our simple truths I miss it all I miss it all

The Changes 03:16
How do we get to the five? Why don't I feel as alive as I did when I was making those decisions? How do we get to the five? How do we get to the five, dominant No I don't care to stop and sit down with this I'll tire out Like I always do, my body gives up 'fore I get to you What are the changes? What are the changes? Not looking back in anger, if anything, it's admiration What are the changes? why are we changing? How do we get to the five? Why do we spend all our lives stuck in traffic like the time's not moving faster than us? I'm undersized in the post How do we get to the five but I'm hopeful, power dribble like I'm sposed to, now What are the changes? what are the changes? What are the changes?

Holy holy are the mornings Rolling stoned to the afternoon Holy holy are your windshield wipers making sure you get home soon Holy holy is the paperwork turned to ash in my apartment Holy holy is my two week notice Holy drives a harder bargain I drive hard I drive, I drive, I drive, I drive, I drive Holy holy is my neighbor's dog an angel of the highest order Holy holy is the scarred up desk where kiddos spin their quarters Holy holy is my second job I'm paid well for my time Holy holy is my bank account, my website app, my mouth full of dimes I try, I try, I try, I try, I try I try, I try, I try, I try, I try Holy holy are my drop-gut nerves swerving round my bones Holy holy while I get a deep breath, set down my phone while I'm alone I try, I try, I try, I try, I try I try, I try, I try, I try, I try I try, I try, I try, I try, I try I try, I try, I try, I try, I try

about

While Rachael was visiting we sat around and talked about songs a lot. Each day we’d break off and work on tunes for a while and when we’d get back together we’d share our progress. We recorded the songs from those sessions on my phone. They sound pretty cool.

about

Spencer Kilpatrick Big Water, Utah

The Utah-based singer-songwriter has an amazing, even intoxicating handle on pitch-perfect period strut, and a smoky, emotion-damaged croon that accents and accentuates it perfectly. While his voice sounds like a cross-hatching of a bluesy John Mayer and Bill Withers, his solo work, which has dribbled out online in fervent spasms, has called to mind contemporaries like Amos Lee.” - Justin Vellucci ... more
