Angry drunks are a dime a dozen but you were a quarter last night one half moon fool at 20 to 5 spinning out the same way you will tonight

Jackrabbits hunker down with heartbeats like roulette Like different parts of different desert dreams and bets A buck 3 and climbing A red moon on the rise I hope they gassed up good in Tonopah tonight The table’s too dry Shuffled cards my edges crack I lose too much money I forget the things you said You said…

about

I wrote some poems then Evan came out to the desert and turned those poems into some songs, then we wrenched on those songs for a few months til they felt alright. Evan booked us some time at Atomic Garden in Oakland and we put a little band together with our friends. I live kind of far away so we had to it all quick; 1 days rehearsing at Zach’s, 1 day tracking, 1 day mixing. It was fast, it was challenging, it was a really beautiful thing to make with loved ones.

Here are those songs + some demos of me trying to get it together.
